Diploma of Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (D.AOTT)

Diploma of Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (D.AOTT) is a 2-year diploma programme designed to prepare students with essential clinical skills, ethics, layout management, and surgical equipment operation within an Operation Theatre and Intensive Care Unit. The curriculum covers foundational subjects including Anatomy & Physiology, General & Anaesthesiology Pharmacology (sedatives, hypnotics, and life-support drugs), Principles of Patient Care, First Aid Techniques, Emergency Protocols, and Advanced OT & Anaesthesia Equipment Management.

Under this programme, students gain hands-on expertise in assisting anaesthesiologists and surgeons during critical surgical procedures. The course equips aspirants with the technical knowledge needed to operate modern life-support systems, monitor patient vital signs, manage airway equipment, and perform accurate pre- and post-operative checks.

The purpose of this programme is to train competent healthcare professionals skilled in emergency patient care, safe transfer of patients to recovery rooms or ICUs, maintaining sterile surgical environments, and keeping systematic medical logs and records.
